Kari Tomashik’s compassionate and light-hearted style of teaching yoga includes clear and careful explanation about the alignment and healing power of yoga. She has a deep knowledge of the workings of the human body—derived from her personal practice and her many years of teaching. She approaches each individual as a unique person and treats all with respect.
Kari has over 25 years of yoga experience and teaches nationally yoga classes, healing workshops, teacher trainings, athletic warrior sequences, wilderness yoga retreats, and individual yoga lessons.
She helps students heal from injury and pain with her diamond-sharp focus, insights, and knowledge of energetic healing.
Kari is a Registered Yoga Teacher, Experienced Level-500 (E-RYT 500) with the Yoga Alliance. She studied extensively under the late Yoga Master Roger Eischens, who studied directly with Shri B.K.S. Iyengar, and his two children, Geeta, and Prashant Iyengar.
Kari continues her studies with Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers and with Karma Yoga Master, Sri Dharma Mittra. In addition, she researches and studies a variety of yoga and yoga-related topics, including anatomy/physiology, fascia, kinesiology, neuroplasticity, Ayurveda, and energy medicine.
