MEET THE TEACHERS
About Chris Boortz: Chris has dual yoga certifications under Roger Eischens and Kari Tomashik’s Eischens Yoga in Madison WI, and through Didier Razon’s Hatha Yoga program operated out of Ponte Vedra FL. Chris has loved and practiced yoga for 22 years, and been teaching for 8 years. She has never taken a yoga class she didn’t like! And never had a teacher that she couldn’t learn from as everyone has something to offer on this journey. Chris teaches from the heart with attention to alignment and a sometimes dry sense of humor (but you don’t have to laugh at her jokes!) Chris has taught many private classes, yoga therapy sessions, and recently has taught classes at Now & Zen. This is her first workshop series.
About Kari Tomashi: Kari is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level. Kari studied extensively under the late Roger Eischens, who studied under B.K.S. Iyengar in India. Since Roger’s passing in 2004, Kari became the Director of Eischens Yoga. Kari has over 20 years of yoga experience and nationally teaches yoga classes, healing workshops, athletic warrior sequences, wilderness yoga retreats and individual lessons.
Kari’s philosophy: To be truly seen with the one heart of compassion, through the eyes of the Guru within/without, is truly transformative. My aim is to point you back to your True Self with light-hearted, compassionate explanation about the artful alignment within each pose, so your awareness lands on your flowering heart.
