Relieve Upper Back Pain

This yoga class is designed to practice various yoga poses to relieve pain and tightness in the upper back and shoulder area.

If your like most human beings,  you probably spend too much time hunched over your computer screens and/or sit too much. As a result, you’re probably also dealing with some nagging upper back pain, perhaps even neck pain.

Upright posture matters when it comes to maintaining the health of your spine and those crucial upper back muscles.  Though taking breaks while at your computer and sitting up straight can help there’s more you can do to create alignment and reduce pain.

Benefits include:

  • Relieve upper back pain and tension
  • Open the heart, chest, and shoulders
  • Strengthen and lengthen the entire spine
  • Align the shoulder blades and activate the rhomboids (muscles that attach the shoulder blades to thoracic spine)

Healing Injury? For those who have a history of injury or trauma and notice that the effects of the minor/major injuries are beginning to interfere with your everyday lives, please note that all of the yoga classes are naturally healing.

Each yoga class is designed to help release stored pain, anxiety, stress, or tension you may be experiencing so that vital, healing energy – prana – can move freely through the entire body. When vital energy is flowing freely (not obstructed), you experience positive emotions, revitalized energy, mental clarity, lightness, pain relief, and an overall sense of well-being.

Whether you have attended any of my yoga classes in the past or not, you are welcome to attend any or all of these classes.

Beginner – with at least 6 months of yoga experience

Two firm bolsters or two firm blankets, if you have
