Pain Relief for Your Head, Neck, and Shouders
This class is designed to align your upper core (and pectoral girdle), so you can release tightness in the head, neck, and shoulder muscles; soothe headache and eye strain; relax more deeply; breathe freer and feel lighter.
Specific standing poses, twists, domes, forward flexions, and restoratives are designed to relieve muscular pain and tension in the head, neck, and shoulders, when practiced with alignment, awareness, and intention.
Upper torso muscular tension and tightness can cause constriction that diminishes blood flow to the muscles in the head, neck, and shoulders. Relieving muscular tension and tightness relaxes the muscles and nourishes the head, neck, and shoulders (and brain) with more oxygen and nutrients.
When energy and blood flows freely through the musculature in this region of the body, muscular pain begins to diminish, so we feel lighter, calmer, and clearer.

When vital energy is flowing freely (not obstructed), you experience positive emotions, revitalized energy, mental clarity, lightness, pain relief, and an overall sense of well-being.
